LAS SINSOMBRERO 3 – EXILIADAS, follows those artists and intellectuals who, once the civil war ended, had to exile to different countries. Through their biographies, we’ll analyse the impact that they supposed, particularly on their authorship, the banishment. Exile seen from a gender perspective shows us, despite themselves, most of these women also went through a step back of their liberties. It remains true that this step back wasn’t induced for questions about politics, but by a familiar economic situation that forced them to dedicate part of their time to tasks cut off from creative production.
This group of women was forgotten. Their recuperation pretends to complete the tale, until now fragmented, of Spanish cultural history.
