Arcadi is a film director. He made films before having to enlist at the front during the Civil War. He sits down and reviews the films he has made, and as he watches them, his memory takes him back to what marked his destiny: the harshness of the front line during the war and the discovery of love. Only cinema and memory allow him to survive the past.
